Dinnertime. *The Battle Begins*

If you have children, I'm sure you know how hard it can be to get them to eat. Well-- let me clarify that. *Hard to make them eat HEALTHY food.* Joslyn has always had a sweet tooth. If it's sweet, she will eat it. Otherwise it's a fight to the finish. Seriously.

Lately we have begun to "teach" her that she's going to eat what we eat, because making two separate meals is ridiculous. And 99% of the things she automatically says "I no like it" to, are things she has never tried or hasn't has since she was Keira's age. Examples? Pumpkin Bread (which she ended up loving), cornbread, grapes, carrots... I'm sure you get the idea.

So... I thought I'd share with the world a little bit of what dinnertime at our house entails. And believe me, this was a tame clip. When we first put her food in front of her (food that we choose, not her) she throws a fit like the world has never seen. Ugh! I will be so glad when this "phase" passes.

Sidenote: The meal is Lasagna with French Bread (I didn't even try to put the Bruschetta on it, or give her the salad that her dad and I also had) Also notice how calmly Keira sits in her highchair and is nearly silent. She loves food. She shoveled away possibly as much lasagna as we had to fight Joslyn to eat! My little food compactor... hahaha. -- Oh, also-- Joslyn actually LIKED her second bite of lasagna, however, she started to complain after that, but what kid can actually turn down homemade lasagna with more cheese in it than anything else?!

OH I feel for you guys! NOthing worse than picky eaters! Our Keera verges on it. Yup, one meal, if they don't eat it nothing else till next meal and if she hasnt' touched it and it's a "normal" meal then she gets it again. Funny how one meal she won't touch it and next she is shoveling it in so fast.

Well hopefully this phase passes soon, for Mom + Dad's sake, lol!

Good for you guys! Doesn't sound like fun but she will learn. When they are hungry enough... they will cave. I'm impressed though that she isn't freaking out worse in this video but perhaps that happened before the taping ;)
